My favorite book of 2016 arrived 6 days before the end of 2016. A Christmas gift from my brother and on the topic of words and how we as women craft ourselves for social consumption. This book will be riding shotgun well into the new year.
Whaddayathink this is in the picture? Nope. It’s my gold tinsel Christmas tree, the tallest of our 6 table top trees, but not nearly as rowdy as my bright pink tree opposite the room. Laid out the way it is in the picture, it looks like a mermaid’s tail. Do my scales look this way? Maybe.
This is my favorite photo of 2016 not just because it’s of my daughter, but because it captures her disposition. The day I took this picture of her, we were aimlessly wandering the lighthouse jetty.
