Tzynya Pinchback is a disabled mermaid writing the Black woman body in nature, in illness, and in joy as a deliberate act. Her poetry has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best of the Net, Bettering American Poetry and is broadcasted on WOMR’s Poets Corner. Her chapbook, “How to make pink confetti” was selected for the Dancing Girl Press reading series for women poets (2012), she was finalist for 2020 Poet Laureate of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and writer-in-residence for the Cordial Eye Gallery & Artist Space 2020 Joy Residency. Tzynya lives in an impossibly small cottage on a pond in Massachusetts where she is surviving cancer and New England winters.
